Elizabeth Taylor as Queen Cleopatra.
I knew I had to draw this photo as soon as I saw it. The fierce look, the tonne of gold, the snakes! The film wasn't half bad either, a little decadent kitsch never hurt anyone.
I can't remember how many days and hours this took, all I know is I'm exhausted! And that my next drawing is going to be much more minimalistic. I'll try a stick figure
And one last thing, because people have been asking. The crop exists for two reasons: 1. the reference photo was like this; and 2. I would have preferred it cropped anyway because I feel it emphasises the crown more.
