This is long overdue, because I keep getting asked the same questions and I think answering them here would be much more helpful to you.

What sort of tools do you use for drawing?
I use a bunch of pencils with the circumference of a sequoia. But I buy more than I need, the point is I use from 2B to 8B. Plus mechanical pencils for the precise bits such as eyes, teeth etc. and the much loathed hair. On A4 extra smooth Bristol paper.

How do you shade/blend?
I use blending stumps a lot, fingers, tissue and cotton buds.
I do it progressively, in layers, I start with subtle shading with a 2B then I work my way to a darker shade.
